An orange ladybug with 16 white dots. Belly and legs are also orange. The shield edge is translucent. Both larvae and bugs feed on mildew and mould, and not on aphids. Mostly found on Sycamore or Ash. ⇔ l. 6-9 mm LA: ≈ The CALVIA QUATUORDICIMQUTTATA (Cream-spot ladybird) is very similar but with 2 dots on the neck shield and 14 on the back. And no translucent shield edge. See photo LA.
