Small yellow-pink moth. The front wings are yellow (greenish to brownish) with dark pink bands, the width and darkness of the colours can vary but the pattern is distinctive. The rear wings are orange-yellow sometimes with a pink edge. The ♂ has feathered antennae and the ♀ thread like. Day-active on sandy soils like dunes and moors. ⇔ wsp. 20-26 mm LA: ≈ The PYRAUSTA AURATA (Mint moth) is darker and has brown rear wings.
