Small brown moth with a pointed hairy snout. The front wings are beige with distinctive brown line markings, the rear wings are grey-brown. Can be found on a variety of grasses with its head downwards. ⇔ wsp. 18-24 mm There are several grass moths with a hairy snout and round bulb eyes, the markings are not always sufficient to specify the subspecies. LA: ≈ The CRAMBUS PASCUELLA (Grass-veneer) has a silver grey band along the front wing fore edge.
