Large red yellow hoverfly, the breast is red-brown and the rear is black yellow ringed.The wings have a brown tinge and the face is bright yellow.

Lives of nectar and pollen, the eggs are laid in wasp nests where the larvae feed on dead wasps and dead larvae.

≈ The VESPA CRABRO (Hornet) is a real wasp with the hourglass shape and ability to sting, but the oval-shaped eyes is the best indication of a wasp.
