A sturdy black-brown millipede with a double orange-brown length line on its back. The body keeps growing by adding segments, and adults have 35-55 parts. It prefers dry, warm soil like sand or dunes and lives off dead plants. ⇔ l. 20-45 mm All year around active and often seen in daytime. Millipedes have two pairs of legs at each segment except the head and end.
