Long flat beetle with a grey-white marked shield, the neck shield is a little darker coloured. Legs and antennae are red to brown. Often found on flowers and leaves and active in the afternoon. Herbivorous but the larvae also feed on worms and larvae of other insects. ⇔ l. 12-17 mm When on their backs, Click beetles can jump with a little click to right themselves. LA: ≈ The AGRIOTES LINEATUS (Lined click beetle) has brown length lines on its shield.
