Small grey-white butterfly with central dark markings at the wing front and lighter coloured ones at the tips. The markings next to the head form a dark coloured triangle. Rests in the daytime in shadow rich areas of walls or plants and becomes active in twilight. Found on plants of the cabbage family like Rapeseed or Radish. ⇔ wsp. 18-25 mm LA: ≈ The MESOLEUCA ALBICILLATA (Beautiful carpet) is darker and with larger markings around its head.
