Dark brown bird with a green to purple wing glow and a large curved beak with white beard line. Noisy at twilight when it calls its own name. Is drawn by irrigated areas like gardens and agricultural areas. It eats, among other things, snails which is mostly no problem. ⇔ l. 74-76 cm
