Very small black beetle with four yellow-white markings on the shield. The antennae end in a little knob. They feed on damaged fruits or ripe corn. ⇔ l. 3-6 mm syn. Beer bugs Can be found in large numbers at the end of summer. Various NITIDULIDAE (Sap beetles) are difficult to separate, but all have antennae ending with a little knob. Some feed on fruit but others on insects.
