Large brown butterfly with an orange tip at its front wings starting at a white line halfway the front and rear wings. The brown often contains small white spots. The rear wings are dark brown with a small tail. The under surface shows the white line and orange tip as well, with a bright white line on the rear wing. ⇔ wsp. 70-80 mm syn. Brown Siproeta Several subspecies sometimes miss the orange or have more orange. Tropical butterfly often present at butterfly gardens.
