Yellow-brown grey shield bug, the rear edge is yellow black blocked and the antennae are intermittent yellow black. Central at the underside is a long needle. Brown-black legs. Normally feeds on plants but can eat dead insects as well. ⇔ l. 14-16 mm LA: ≈ The PENTATOMA RUFIPES (Forest bug) is more red-brown with striking red legs.
