Black songbird with a white rump, lower belly and bottom of the tail. The middle tail feathers are black as well as the tail feather ends and this forms the characteristic inverted black T. Preference for desert areas, mainly a resident bird. Can be seen both solitary and as a couple. ⇔ l. 17-19 cm Lives in southern Spain, Portugal and northern Africa. LA: ≈ The OENANTHE LEUCOPYGA (White-crowned Wheatear) has a white crown and the white tail feathers lack the black rear edge. It is rarely in Europe and lives mainly in Africa.
