Small magpie with a long blue tail. The head is shiny black with a short firm beak and a white chin. The chest is pinkish beige and the back is slightly darker, this also applies to half of the wing. The wing tips are just as blue as the tail. Usually in forests or at the edge of the forest. Eat acorns and pine seeds as well as insects. Hips over the ground, the long tail often upwards and a little cross. Is very agile in the trees. ⇔ l. 34-36 cm Settles often in a group to eat together. Sometimes very shy and then quickly untraceable in the treetops. LA: ≈ In terms of build it looks like the PICA PICA (Magpie), but this one is a lot bigger and only black and white. And usually runs. ≈ Looks like the CYANOPICA CYANUS (Asian blue magpie), which is less bright blue and has white tail specks. This only occurs in East Asia. No picture available yet.
