The top surface is orange with black markings. The undersurface of the forewing is orange with black markings. The tip and hindwing are orange-yellow marked. A silver mark on the centre of the hindwing, along with the edges smaller silver spots. Large silver mark on the centre of the underside. ⇔ wsp. 32-40 mm LA: ≈ The top surface is much like other fritillaries, specifically the BOLORIA SELENE (Small pearl-bordered fritillary). The latter has a large black spot on its hind wing and more silver on the underside.
