A black white striped horse-like, stripes cover the belly, with on the hind brown shadow stripes on the white. Short striped straight up mane from the ears to the shoulders. The legs are striped at the top and white at the bottom. The mare lives in groups with their young and one stallion. Other stallions live in groups or solitary. Prefer open grassy areas near water. ⇔ hbl. 200-250 cm, sh. 101-147 cm, tl. 40-50 cm LA: ≈ The EQUUS ZEBRA (Mountain zebra) has stripes on the inside of its legs and a white belly.
