Slender skink with brown-grey black stripe markings on its back. The ♂ gets red flanks and legs in mating season. ⇔ l. 14-18 cm When the tail is dropped off a new tail is grown that will be smaller and darker in colour which is common for most lizards. Local to Southern Africa, mostly found in coastline shrubbery.
