Thick haired bee fly, looking like a small bumblebee, a very long nose, long legs and the wings are semi-transparent. Flies from flower to flower and seems to hover over it, in fact, it holds on to the flower with its long legs. The larva is a parasite in other insects’ nests. ⇔ l. 8-16 mm
