Brown black back, white under surface, almost bald light brown head and neck, long dark neck feathers like a collar.  Long wings with deep fingers at the end.

It walks awkwardly but its flying is superb. Its long bald neck allows it to dig deep into a carcass without the feathers getting stuck. A carrion bird which flies in groups searching for carcasses. Mates for life and builds a large nest where young are fed for 4 months.
