Mostly seen creeping up tree trunks looking for insects. It has a loud call. ⇔ l. 12-13 cm LA: ≈ The CERTHIA FAMILIARIS (Eurasian treecreeper) is very similar but has a more fluent call. It also can be found in Britannia and northeast Europe and Asia though there is overlap in where they live. ≈ It also resembles the SITTA EUROPAEA (Nuthatch) which is more colourful and is able to travel head first down the tree trunk.
