Silver grey back becoming off-white lower down. Front neck has a black stripe. Black eyebrow becoming decorative feathers on the head, which can disappear in winter. Yellow to orange beak. The common bird often spotted at waterfronts, breeding in colonies in trees, cane fields or urban areas. Sometimes using the same nest for several years. ⇔ l. 85-91 cm
