Large black and white duck with red wattles around the beak. Colouration varies, the black can appear more green than black. ♀ has one egg every day and incubates when she feels the nest is full. After 35 days all eggs hatch simultaneously. ♂ is twice the weight of ♀. ⇔ l. ♂ 76 cm, ♀ 55 cm Originally from America, now bred in Europe for eggs and meat. The wild variety is darker in colour and has fewer wattles.
