White wings with black veins on all wings on both sides. Sometimes the wings are a little translucent. The black antennae have white tips. The caterpillar is hairy with a yellow-brown back and grey belly separated by a black line. ⇔ wsp. 50-65 mm Found in open forest and bushes mainly in the south and central Europe. LA: ≈ The PIERIS NAPI (Green-veined white) has fainter veins that are wider. ≈ The PARNASSIUS MNEMOSYNE (Clouded apollo) has black markings on the front wing and completely black antennae.
