Rust brown marked back, light beige belly with a yellow-brown rump. A wide white eyebrow with dark sides. A very shy bird living in reeds and waterfront vegetation, the ♂ ends its song with a courtship dive. ⇔ l. 11-13 cm Migratory birds wintering in tropical Africa and breeding in Europe and Africa, not in mountainous areas. LA: There are many ACROCEPHALUS (warblers) all similar in size, markings, behaviour and habitat. The differences are found in colour markings.
