Savi's warbler

Locustella luscinioides

A slim brown bird with even brown back and lighter belly. The breast is a little yellowish and it has a fairly long tail with a round shaped edge. The light coloured beak has a dark tip.

Hides in large reed beds looking for bugs. In the evening the ♂ climbs to the top of the reed to be heard. 

⇔ l. 13-14 cm

Migratory bird.

LA:
Difficult to separate from other warblers. 
≈ The ACROCEPHALUS SCIRPACEUS (Reed warbler) has a thinner straight tail and longer beak.
≈ The LOCUSTELLA NAEVIA (Grasshopper warbler) is more marked.
