Large brown deer with stripes on the flanks, mane up to the shoulder. ♀large ears and only the ♂ have large horns. Very shy and elevating the tail when fleeing, showing the white underside for alarm and direction. ⇔ hbl. 185-245 cm, sh. 100-150 cm, tl. 30-55 cm, horns 100-170 cm syn. Greater kudu
