A small songbird with olive green back, white belly with a yellow glow, light eyebrow and orange legs. The lower beak is yellowish, and it has a flat head. A particular song with tunes repeated often. Found in scrubland and forest edges. ⇔ l. 11-12 cm Migratory bird wintering in Central and South Africa, breeding in central and north Europe. LA: ≈ Very similar to the PHYLLOSCOPUS COLLYBITA (Chiffchaff) which has a rounder head and darker legs and the chiffchaff calls its name. ≈ The PHYLLOSCOPUS SIBILATRIX (Wood warbler) is more yellow and has a distinct eye line.
