Small butterfly with thick hairs on body and head, the wing’s upper surface is orange-yellow with bright yellow markings. The ♂ upper front wing has a dark scent stripe. The under surface is olive green coloured with distinctive bright silver-white markings. ⇔ wsp. 25-30 mm syn. Common branded skipper, Holarctic grass skipper LA: All HESPERIIDAE (Skippers) are similar and with spread wings, they have the front wing a little upwards and overlapping the rear wings.
