White butterfly with on the top of the front wing black spots on the wing tip and one in the centre. ♀ also has black spots on the rear wing. The underside of the front wing is white with a black spot and a marbled tip, the rear wing is completely yellow-green marbled. Prefers dry flower-rich meadows. ⇔ wsp. 45-50 mm The PONTIA EDUSA (eastern Bath white) looks exactly the same, yet they don't seem to be able to mate with each other. The separation line runs through France, here they both live. On the location map, both are considered. LA: ≈ The ♀ ANTHOCHARIS CARDAMINES (Orange tip) has a marbled white green under surface. ≈ And the PIERIS BRASSICAE (Cabbage butterfly) has no green under surface.
