Yellow-brown skipper with dark veins, the under surface of the antennae tip is yellow or brown yellow. The ♂ has diagonal scent stripes on its front wings. The front wing tip under surface is greenish, the remaining under surface is yellow-brown. ⇔ wsp. 25-30 mm LA: ≈ The THYMELICUS LINEOLA (Essex skipper) has dark antennae tips and the ♂ scent stripes are parallel with the veins. ≈ The OCHLODES SYLVANUS (Large skipper) has yellow-brown antennae tips but lacks the light markings on the under surface.
