Red black oval flat bug with a distinctive pattern and black legs. The larvae are missing the well-defined pattern. Eats plants and dead animals, prefers lime trees which is where you can find them, they feed on the fallen leaves and seeds. ⇔ l. 10-12 mm The scientific name APTERUS means no wings. In fact, they do have wings but they are small and are not able to fly with them.
