A small bird with a long tail, white throat and eye stripe, yellow belly, back and a brown head. While breeding there is a black band between the yellow and the white,♀has a smaller band. Prefers thorny bushes to hide in, but can be found in gardens as well. ⇔ l. 11-12 cm
