Large Mustelid, plump body and a striking white head with 2 black lines over the small eyes and ears. The back has both black and white fur making it look grey. The belly and legs are black. Very shy and active at night, lives in a dug burrow with multiple entrances. Hunts for small mammals, insects and eats nuts and fruits. ⇔ hbl. 67-80 cm, sh. 28-30 cm, tl. 11-19 cm LA: ≈ The GULO GULO (Wolverine) is more brown and larger and with longer legs.
