Grey-brown back, red-brown head and white belly. The upper surface of the tail is black. Long ears and legs. Below the ear, there is a dark round stain which is a scent gland. The ♂ has horns.

There are more scent glands between the hoofs, in the groin, below the eyes, on the knees and ankle.
