Bright white feathers, yellow face, point and the upper beak is dark grey, the lower beak is white, legs grey-yellow with yellow feet becoming orange on adults. Stationary along water looking for prey, sometimes searching with the legs below water level and while flying catching fish! Can be observed between cattle looking for insects. Breeds in colonies. ⇔ l. 55-66 cm
