Small blue beetle with a long snout, antennae are at the tip of the nose and are bent halfway. Sometimes more greenish than blue coloured. The front legs are thickened with a tooth-like lump. The blue colour is faint and fades easily. It prefers nettles for its habitat. ⇔ l. 8-11 mm LA: There are many small blue-green coloured CURCULIONIDAE (Snout beetles) and often microscopic research is needed to tell them apart.
