Black grey woodlouse with light marble markings, long curved antennae, 7 pairs of legs and 2 cerci (small tails) at the end. Found in the house as well as in woods. Prefers moist soil or areas like a cellar and feeds on dead plants bacteria and fungus. Often in groups. ⇔ l. 14-18 mm syn. Common woodlouse LA: ≈The PORCELLIO SCABER (Rough woodlouse) has a rougher back.
