Yellow white spider with oak like markings on its back. The rear body is thin, high and pointed with a white-edged pattern surrounded by black, yellow and white markings. The legs are yellowish white with black stripes, the head is grey-haired. Prefers sunny places in mountainous areas up to 2500 m altitude. Mostly waiting on its low-strung web for prey but can drop quickly when disturbed. ⇔ l. 7-14 mm syn. ARANEUS CEROPEGIUS LA: Some of this Genus have similar patterns.
