The head and antennae are brown to dark brown. The eyes are at the end of the antennae that are retracted when disturbed. Eats plants, carrion and mushrooms. This slug is hermaphrodite, meaning it can be both genders and adopt both roles. ⇔ l. 4-15 mm LA: ≈ This slug and the ARION ATER (Black slug) can only be differentiated by their genitals, and after 50 years of discussion, there is still no answer whether they should be one or two species!
