Large green copper coloured beetle with a blue metal shine. The dark antennae exceed the body in length and are, like the legs, shiny. A bubbly head and breast with faint vertical grooves on the shield. Lives and eats and develops on the willow tree and likes to sit on tree trunks, warm rocks or herb like plants. When disturbed it excretes a scent resembling musk. ⇔ l. 20-34 mm
