A small red-brown beetle, uni-coloured without metal shine. This Leaf beetle is differentiated by its filmy wings that are kept below its shield. Often found at waterfronts or wet fields on mint, basil or deadnettle. ⇔ l. 6-9 mm LA: ≈ The CHRYSOLINA VARIANS has a more sturdy shield and a metallic shine.
