Yellow lady beetle with 22 black dots on its back. The legs are yellow-brown with a black belly. The ♀ has a yellow black marked neck shield as well.  The ♂ has a lighter yellow neck shield, it is almost white. 

Prefers forest edges and road sides near oak in particular. Both larvae and beetle feed on mildew and mould.
