Yellow lady beetle with 22 black dots on its back. The legs are yellow-brown with a black belly. The ♀ has a yellow black marked neck shield as well. The ♂ has a lighter yellow neck shield, it is almost white. Prefers forest edges and road sides near oak in particular. Both larvae and beetle feed on mildew and mould. ⇔ l. 3-5 mm syn. THEA VIGINTIDUOPUNCTATA LA: ≈ The PROPYLEA QUATUORDECIMPUNCTATA (14-spotted Ladybird) has squarer spots and the spots connect.
