A large beige brown moth. The front wings are marked with a distinctive black tip. The rear wings are yellow with a black-brown rear edge and a central dark marking. Active at night and in the dark, the rear wing is difficult to see. Can be found in sandy areas with grasses and foliage. ⇔ wsp. 38-45 mm
