Round spider with a light brown small front body with a dark vertical line. The legs are striped. The rear is, specifically for the ♀ round shaped, variable in colour white, green, orange-red or brown but always with a white marking shaped like a cross with 2 cross beams. Makes a circular web close to the surface with a dome-shaped hideaway from where it detects if prey has entered the web. The prey gets wrapped and taken to this hideaway. ⇔ l. 7-19 mm
