Brown with an orange band on all 4 wings with black/white eyes. The under surface is brown as well with eyes on the front wing. ⇔ wsp. 37-45 mm With a 2 year cycle, you can see the caterpillar one year and the butterfly the other year. LA: ERIBIAs can be very similar in appearance. ≈ EREBIA EPISTYGNE (Spring ringlet) has 3 white dots on a black marking on the front wing. ≈ The EREBIA TYNDARUS (Swiss Brassy Ringlet) is darker with a greenish glow.
