Brown cat with ear tufts as well as whiskers, sturdy legs and a short tail. The fur varies in colour from yellow-brown to red-brown and in summer there are black markings, which disappear in winter. Lives in pine forests where it hunts rodents and smaller mammals. ⇔ hbl. 80-130 cm, tl. 4-8 cm syn. FELIX LYNX LA: ≈ The LYNX PARDINUS (Iberian lynx) lives in Spain and the LYNX CANADENSIS (Canadian lynx) lives in Canada. They have different colours and patterns but they all have the same build and ear tufts. See photos LA.
