Completely black crow with a sturdy beak. Adapts easily to changes even in residential areas. Outside breeding season they roost in large groups on fixed locations. ⇔ l. 40-53 cm A resident bird but the northerly living tend to move south a bit in winter. LA: ≈ The CORVUS CORONE (Carrion crow) is very similar but does not live in America.
