Wide flat skimmer with a dark marking at the wing tips and a small black line on the front wing. The wing base has yellow-orange veins. Just hatched they are orange with a black central line on the rear.  
The ♂ rear becomes blueish with a black body and head without the orange wing veins. The ♀ becomes dark brown with grey eyes.
